Step-by-step instructions for joining your school and setting up classes

Getting Started (New Account)

This guide walks you through creating an account, joining your school, selecting subjects, creating classes, and inviting students.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Your teacher invite code from AusGrader support
  • Your school email address

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to the AusGrader signup page
  2. Enter your school email address and create a password
  3. Check your email for a verification link
  4. Click the link to verify your account
  5. Sign in with your email and password

Important: You must use your school email address. Personal email addresses won't work with school invite codes.

Step 2: Join Your School

  1. Enter your teacher invite code
  2. Click Join School
  3. Enter your first and last name
  4. Click Continue

Step 3: Select Your Subjects

  1. Click Manage Subjects
  2. You'll see all subjects your school has licensed
  3. Click Join next to each subject you teach

Step 4: Create Your Classes

  1. Go to the Teacher Dashboard
  2. Go to the Class Management page
  3. Click Create Class
  4. Select a subject (only subjects you've joined will appear)
  5. Enter a class name (e.g., "Year 12 Biology - Period 3")
  6. Click Create

Step 5: Invite Your Students

  1. Click Manage Class
  2. Click Generate Code
  3. Copy the student invite code
  4. Share this code with your students
