WACE ATAR calculator
Enter your WACE scaled scores to see which four courses TISC would count, the 10% bonuses for Mathematics Methods, Mathematics Specialist and a language, your Tertiary Entrance Aggregate (TEA) and an estimated ATAR. Set a target ATAR and leave a course blank to see the scaled score it needs. Everything here is an estimate based on TISC's 2025 data, not an official ATAR.
Estimate your ATAR from scaled scores
Add each ATAR course and your scaled score out of 100 (actual or predicted). No scaled score yet? Press the calculator button on a course to estimate one from your school and exam marks. Each course shows whether it is in your best four or adds only its 10% bonus.
Set a target and leave a course's scaled score blank to see what it needs. Scores you enter stay fixed.

Estimated ATAR
A TEA needs:
- 4 ATAR courses (still needed)
- 4 that can count together (no unacceptable pair, at most 2 maths courses) (still needed)
- TISC lets you use scaled scores from up to five years. Enter a score from an earlier year as it was scaled in its own year.
- Mature-age entry (your best two scaled scores doubled) is not modelled here.
- An ATAR alone does not get you into university. WA universities also need competence in English, which is a separate requirement.

The estimate is based on TISC's 2025 data; the course list, unacceptable combinations and bonus rules come from TISC's 2027 admission requirements. AusGrader is not affiliated with TISC or SCSA, and every result here is an estimate, not an official ATAR.
How the calculator works
Your TEA is your best four scaled scores added together, plus 10% of your Mathematics Methods scaled score, 10% of your Mathematics Specialist scaled score and 10% of your best language scaled score. Those bonuses count even when the course is not in your best four, so the most a TEA can be is 430. Only the higher score of an unacceptable pair counts (Mathematics Applications and Mathematics Specialist, for example, or English and EALD), and no more than two maths courses count.
The TEA is then read against TISC's official 2025 ATAR at every whole TEA (from TISC's ATAR Calculator) and its table of the lowest TEA for each listed ATAR from 30.00 to 99.95. A TEA between two whole numbers takes a straight line between them, rounded down to the nearest 0.05, so the estimate is within 0.05 of TISC's 2025 ATAR. Below a TEA of 127.4 there is no estimate. Scaling and the TEA to ATAR table change every year with the cohort, so your real ATAR can differ.
With a target ATAR set, the calculator finds the TEA that target needs and the lowest scaled score that gets there in every course you left blank, keeping the scores you entered fixed. A course left out of your best four can still need a score for its 10% bonus.
